Main Concourse Level

A large addition is planned for the southern portion of Ford Center fronting at I-40 and Robinson Avenue. It will extend from the southwest to the southeast sides of the building. At the southwest corner a major new plaza, new entry vestibule and new concourse will be created. This very tall atrium space will join all levels of the arena and will host two new stairs and four escalators that will augment all spectator levels of Ford Center. This major expansion is scheduled to begin in 2010 when visitors can expect the following:

• A concourse level NBA game day service, retail and concierge area
• A satellite ticket sales area with ticket lobby
• A 3,193 sq. ft. bar/club located in the new entry
• A 5,607 sq. ft. full service restaurant accessible by all patrons visiting Ford Center
• Additional concession areas
• A new 1,758 sq. ft. NBA retail store located near the northwest entrance
• A "Family Fun Zone" that will be open to all patrons
• New concession areas will be added
• Finishes, lighting, graphics, colors and images on the main concourse level will be upgraded to be more inviting to spectators
