Nine Inch Nails
Friday, August 15, 2008 - 8:00 PM

Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor has proven to be one of the more vital forces in popular music. He has won 2 Grammy’s for Best Metal Performance; the first in 1992 for “Wish” and the second in 1995 for “Happiness in Slavery.” Aside from releasing Nine Inch Nails’ Albums a few of his side projects have included several soundtracks including Oliver Stone's controversial Natural Born Killers, David Lynch’s Lost Highway; and he also appeared as a guest on "Past the Mission," a track on Tori Amos' second album Under the Pink and contributed a cover of Joy Division's "Dead Souls" to the soundtrack of The Crow. Sequestered with his Macintosh, Reznor has been perfecting the art of projecting personal alienation, self-loathing, and bitter betrayal into an art form. A master of creating tension in silence and releasing it in explosions of industrial aggression, his songs have become dark anthems for the youth of yesterday and today.
